    Safety & Fair Use

    Effective 1 September 2026 · Document version 1

Related: Privacy · End User License Agreement

Read this before you use the App. It is short because all of it matters. These are conditions of your license, not advice — using the App otherwise ends your right to use it.

This App is a personal recording tool for your own journeys, trips, rides and outings. It is licensed for lawful, personal, recreational use and for nothing else. It is not designed, tested, or supplied for any professional, official, evidential, monitoring, security, or safety-critical purpose, and you must comply with everything that applies to you wherever you use it.

Using the App while you are moving

Interacting with the App in any way while you are moving can cause a collision resulting in serious injury or death. That is true however you are travelling — under your own power or any other, on any surface, in any setting — and it applies with the most force when you are driving or riding, because that is where a moment's inattention costs most.

Any interaction counts: touching the device, holding it, looking at it, adjusting a setting, checking the overlay, or confirming that a recording is still running. Moving requires your attention, and nothing this App shows is worth a second of it.

Use the App only when it is safe to do so — safe for you, and safe for everyone around you. That is a floor rather than a permission: it stands in addition to everything above, never as an alternative to it. Whether the conditions, the place, the moment and the people around you make recording appropriate at all is yours alone to judge, and if you are in any doubt, don't.

What the App does, and nothing more

It records what the cameras are pointed at. That is the whole of it.

    • It does not watch where you are going, detect anything, warn you, or intervene. It is not a safety system, not an assistance system of any kind, and not a substitute for paying attention to what is around you.
    • It is not an emergency, rescue, medical, or security service, and it cannot summon help. In an emergency, contact the emergency services directly.
    • It does not monitor your device's temperature, battery, or condition, and it takes no responsibility for any of them.
    • You must not rely on it for anything, and you must not let its presence, its readings, or a belief that it is recording change how you travel or what you do.

It only records while it is on screen

iOS does not permit any app to use the camera in the background, and the App does not try. If you leave the App, lock the phone, take a call, or the system needs the camera, recording stops and the clip is saved. Nothing already captured is lost — but nothing after that point is recorded.

You must never assume a recording is still running, and checking is not a reason to interact with the App while you are moving — the condition above applies without exception. If something interrupted it, the recording ended there. The Developer accepts no responsibility for anything that was not recorded.

    The device will get warm

Recording video, using GPS, and keeping the screen on generates heat. Charging at the same time generates more. Sustained recording — especially at 4K, in sunlight, or in an enclosed space — can make the device hot, and iOS may throttle performance, dim the display, or stop recording to protect the device.

That is normal hardware behavior and it is never the Developer's responsibility. Heat is managed entirely by iOS, not by this App. The App reads no thermal sensor, has no thermal policy of its own, gives no thermal warning, makes no attempt to prevent or manage heat, and promises nothing whatsoever in this respect. Any consequence of heat — to the device, its battery, its long-term health, your recordings, or anything else — is yours.

It is a recording tool, not proof

The App is a simple recorder. It is not evidence, not certified, not a measuring instrument, and it proves nothing.

Every number on screen comes from the device's own sensors, and those sensors are wrong sometimes. GPS drifts, loses fix, and lags. Altitude is imprecise. The clock is whatever your device says it is. The truthfulness and accuracy of anything displayed or recorded is never guaranteed. You must not treat a recording as a factual record of speed, position, or events, and you must not rely on one where being wrong would matter.

Recordings can also be lost — through interruption, storage running out, heat, iOS ending the App, or a fault in the App itself. Loop recording deletes older segments on purpose. This is not a backup service. Export anything you would be sorry to lose, and keep your own copy.

    Recording is your responsibility alone

What may be recorded, where, when, and by whom is not the same everywhere. It differs from country to country and from place to place within a country, it can depend on where you are standing and what you are pointing at, sound is often treated differently from picture, and it changes over time. What is unremarkable in one place can be restricted or prohibited in another.

Establishing what applies where you are — before you record — is yours alone, and so is complying with it. That covers, without limitation, other people and their voices, property that is not yours, private land, and any place, premises, installation, or situation where recording is controlled, restricted, or prohibited. It covers what you may record, whether you may record there at all, and everything you do with the result afterwards: keeping it, copying it, exporting it, showing it, publishing it, or handing it to anyone.

We do not know where you are, what the camera is pointed at, or what is in the frame. We never see your recordings — they stay on your device — so we cannot review, approve, restrict, or remove anything you record, and we do not try to.

The Developer accepts no responsibility of any kind for what you record, for anyone or anything that appears in it, for where or when you recorded it, or for any consequence of recording, keeping, exporting, showing, publishing or handing over a recording — to you, to anyone in the frame, or to anyone else. If anyone raises a complaint or a claim about a recording of yours, that is yours to answer, not ours, and the indemnity in the End User License Agreement applies.

One thing worth knowing, because it is a property of the file rather than a rule: an exported video has the overlay burned into the picture, coordinates included. A file you share shows where you were and when — and, if someone else is in the frame, where they were and when.

    Everything else is yours

We give no instructions about how you travel and none about how you mount your device. Where you put it, what you attach it to, whether that is secure, whether it obstructs anything, and whether it is permitted at all are yours to decide and yours to get right. So is how you travel — driving, riding, or by any other means — and whatever you are travelling in, on, or by. We know nothing about your circumstances or your equipment, we have assessed none of it, and we make no claim that any placement, any use, or the App itself is safe or permitted for you.

You are solely responsible for complying with everything that applies to you — every law, rule, requirement, approval, permission, agreement, instruction and policy, of any kind, from any source, wherever you are, and whether or not you were aware of it.

That is not limited to how you travel. It covers, without limit, what you record, where and when you may record it, whether you may record any person, property or place, what the App displays or stores, and everything you do with a recording afterwards — keeping it, copying it, exporting it, showing it, publishing it, or handing it to anyone. What applies differs from place to place and from person to person, and it can change.

Finding out what applies to you is your job. Complying with it is your job. We do not know what applies to you, we do not assess it, we do not check it, and we accept no responsibility for any of it — including any consequence for you or for anyone else.

Checking is part of that job, and it does not stop. Check every rule, requirement, restriction, permission, approval, prohibition and enforcement measure that applies where you are. Check every manual, instruction, specification, warning and condition issued for whatever you are travelling in or on, for your equipment, your mount and your device. Do it before you use the App, and again whenever anything changes — where you are, what you are doing, what you have attached it to. Not knowing is not something you can put on us.

Anything that applies to you outranks this App. Where it conflicts with anything shown here or written here, follow the other one. This App is never the authority, and using it changes none of your obligations.

You must not use the App for any purpose that is unlawful, that infringes or harms anyone's rights, or that anything applying to you prohibits. Doing so is a breach of the End User License Agreement and ends your license immediately.

    At your own risk

Use of the App is entirely at your own risk. There is no support, no warranty, and no liability accepted by the Developer for anything arising from it — to you or to anyone else — including a recording that never started, stopped early, or was lost, and including any consequence of relying on what the App displayed. You accept that risk by using the App. The full terms, including the limitation of liability and the indemnity, are in the End User License Agreement.
